30 years after opening their first fruit shop in West Preston, the family are transforming the traditional shopping experience with a HUGE retail market incorporating meat, deli, seafood, bakery, patisserie and groceries.
Since first being shown this hanger at Essendon airport, the 45 family members who work within the business continue to push the boundaries of the traditional supermarket model AND they aren’t content on stopping either!
They are planning to embark on a major renovation to almost double the size of the site and tweak their offering, including more food preparation on show and even a Gluten Free kitchen!
Their 180 seat café (which is expanding to 220 seat cafe) is also a must, the family are focused on serving the finest produce, straight from their market! The baristas are pumping through 200kg a week in coffee and the kitchen is busy ensuring a healthy twist to traditional breakfasts – Acai Bowls, Dragon Fruit Bowls as well as Pumpkin Smash with Haloumi were favorites of the team at MBD.
Get down for breakfast and a shop, the family are all over the latest trends and listen to customer feedback so we are sure it will impress you as much as it impressed us!
